Bandai PG Unicorn Gundam Review
I will be reviewing the Bandai PG Unicorn Gundam in a few parts. This part of the review I will start with an unboxing of the kit and photos of the sprues themselves. I will begin with the box itself it is a monster! The box measures 60 x 40 x 8 cm’s. The inside of the box is full of sprues a total of 43 in all. Standing the sprues one on top of another measures a whopping 43 cm’s high! The kit retails between £150-£180 ($227 to $273 U.S.) depending on where you purchase your kit.
The kit is molded in colour, it includes a huge instruction book, stickers ( I won’t be using them ) effect parts and a base to stand the kit on.The base also serves as the housing for the optional LED system that is available. The Unicorn Gundam is designed to light up and the Bandai LED set is available ( there are also third party sets available ).In addition to the LED set, there is an optional “Full Armour” set that includes extra weapons, shield, and booster tanks.
All the parts are nicely detailed, no flash and nice crisp molding. The only disappointment I have with the package is that it does not include waterslide decals. I have sourced a third party set which will be reviewed later.
The Bandai Perfect Grade Unicorn is, on first impressions looks like a hell of a build. I have had a fair few Bandai kits and have always been impressed with the quality of their kits, the Unicorn Gundam looks to continue impressing.
