A little distraction while I am in a Gerry Anderson mood.
I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed building this kit, barring a self-inflicted mishap! The paint went on a bit too thickly on the “third stage” (part “C”) of the main body and ran. Unfortunately, no chemical paint stripper in my arsenal could shift the combination of Halfords red plastic primer and Humbrol acrylic paint! I had to resort to sanding the paint off and restoring the raised detail using plastic card and rod stock. However, very little filler was harmed, just a smear where the engine pylons met the main body. The rest of the kit went together smoothly.
The launch bay will be built at a later date.., sometime![/vc_column_text][vc_gallery type=”grid” images=”9430,9440,9439,9438,9437,9434,9436,9435,9431,9432,9433,9417,9418,9419,9420,9427,9428,9429,9421,9422,9423,9424,9425,9426″][/vc_column][/vc_row]

I have been modelling since I was eight or nine years old. Although I'm mainly an aircraft modeller but I have been known to do Science Fiction/Fantasy occasionally.
