[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Michael Lalor has entered his Enterprise from Star Trek 3: The Search for Spock.

It’s the 1/537 scale AMT/ERTL kit from back in the day with an aftermarket destroyed saucer resin kit I believe is from Warp. I bought it back in the mid 90’s but never got around to completing it. So I decided to finally build the kit and it’s what got me into model making. The build involved first building the Enterprise clean so it looked like new. I even added Aztecing to a clean paint job. Then a lot of weathering using reference shots from the actual model that was auctioned off a few years ago and screen references from the movie. I tried to make the weathering and scorch marks as accurate as possible to the actual studio model. Everything was by me except for the wooden base which I bought.

This build will be entered in the Star Trek Ships and Vehicles all scales (Non-Illuminated) category.[/vc_column_text][vc_gallery type=”grid” images=”10373,10374,10375,10376,10377,10378,10379,10380,10381,10382,10383,10384,10385,10386,10387,10388,10389,10390,10391,10392,10393,10394,10395,10396″][/vc_column][/vc_row]

I have been building models since I was about 8 years old. As many of us did, I picked up the hobby from my father. Without him, I would probably have never known this great hobby. I like to build everything from Military Models to Starships. Right now my passion is to build and light science fiction models.
